Effectively moved most things over. iTunes, TurboTax were notable exceptions. The most critical piece is what connection method to use. Ethernet is NOT the best option though that is what Laplink suggests. USB 3 or Thunderbolt would have saved me 24 hours of transfer time. As it was it took over a day to move less than 1TB from the old machine to the new.

It moved most things over, but not everything. I had to manually move browser profiles and other items. Mostly it saved reinstalling apps. The transmission rate was slower than doing it manually, though obviously the steps weren’t manual. Better than doing it manually overall, but needs improvement.
